手册的目的

The East Georgia State 大学 Employee Handbook contains general policies 和程序 在大学里 and the University System of Georgia that applies to 所有 East Georgia State 大学 faculty and staff employees. Student employees are directed to the East Georgia State 大学 Student 就业 Handbook for applicable policies 和程序. 员工 are also directed to the following sources for additional applicable policies that may apply:

EGSC policies are subject to review and change by the Board of Regents and the administration 在大学里. 员工 are directed to the 政策 and 程序 of the 大学 webpage for subsequent revisions of this handbook and for the most current versions of 所有 大学政策.

The Employee Handbook is not to be interpreted as a contract of employment nor does it guarantee the right to employment. Georgia is an employment-at-will state. 每 Board of Regent’s policy, East Georgia State 大学 policy must f所有 within the minimum standards set forth in the Bylaws and 政策 of the Board of Regents. 然而,随着 permissible by the Board of Regents, East Georgia State 大学 policy may be stricter than Board of Regents policy provided that the resulting policy remains does not violate Board of Regents policy, Bylaws, or state or federal law. In the absence of an East Georgia State 大学 Policy, applicable Board of Regent’s policy sh所有 govern. Interpretations and enforcement of policies in this handbook sh所有 be the responsibility of the Vice President for Business Affairs.

An effort has been made to avoid duplicating information otherwise available in other East Georgia State 大学 publications, such as the 政策 and 程序 of the 大学, 员工手册, 教师手册, East Georgia State 大学 Statutes, EGSC Business Affairs 政策 and 程序 Manual, Student 就业 Handbook and various benefits booklets. Benefit booklets are issued by the Human Resources Office to 所有 new employees.

The Human Resources Office

The Human Resources Office, located in the Jean A. Morgan Student Activities Center, functions to serve the best interests of both the employees and East Georgia State 大学. The Vice President for Business Affairs and her/his staff are responsible for implementing college personnel policies, recruiting, position classification, wage and salary administration, orientation, training, employee records, and benefits.
